Cultivar — Privacy Policy

Cultivar (“the app”) is a single-player mobile game operated by Gijs.

## Data stored on your device

All game progress — pots, seeds, collection, coins, upgrades, and shop state — is stored only on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). It is not transmitted to us, and uninstalling the app removes all of it. The app has no user accounts and no sign-in.

## Information collected through third-party services

To provide rewarded ads and in-app purchases, the app uses the third-party services below, which may collect data as described. We do not run our own analytics, and we have no server that stores your personal data.

1. Advertising — Google AdMob The app shows optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one in exchange for in-game seeds). To serve and measure these ads, Google AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android), IP address (from which approximate location may be derived), device and app information, and your interactions with ads. Ads are personalized only with your consent — if you decline tracking, you’ll see non-personalized ads.

2. In-app purchases — RevenueCat + Apple / Google Purchases are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google); we never receive your payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to validate and manage purchases. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID, your purchase and transaction history, store receipts, and basic device/country information, so the app can deliver what you bought and restore prior purchases.

3. App Tracking Transparency (iOS) On iOS, before any personalized advertising, the app presents Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can allow or deny tracking and change your choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

4. Weather data — open-meteo.com The app fetches current weather for a fixed, hard-coded location (Roermond, Netherlands) to display an ambient weather effect. We do not request or use your device’s GPS or network location.

5. Over-the-air updates — Expo (u.expo.dev) On launch, the app checks Expo’s servers for an updated app bundle. No personal data is sent in these requests.

## How we use data

The limited data above is used solely to: display and measure rewarded ads, process and restore in-app purchases, render the weather effect, and keep the app up to date. We do not sell your data.

## Your choices

• iOS: decline tracking at the prompt, or change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; reset your advertising identifier in Settings.
• Android: reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings → Google → Ads.

## Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are posted at the URL where you are reading it; the effective date above shows when it last changed.
